I am so incredibly dissappointed with my experience at Dr. Bogin's office. I was talked into getting a bridge connecting a wisdom tooth and another about a year ago. A few months following having the bridge I began to feel pressure in my ear nearest this bridge. I went to so many doctor appointments trying to figure out what was wrong with my ear or anything else that could be causing it. I finally realized the discomfort and pressure was coming from my teeth where the new bridge was. I went to Sarah Bogin and she located an infection in this wisdom tooth. I was given multiple Endodontist referrals in hopes I could have a root canal performed sooner rather than later. Unfortunately, that Endo, Dr. Linda Ricks perforated one of my roots during the root canal - going straight down and through a curved root.
I didn't know this had happened as Dr Ricks indicated the root canal was done properly and was complete. So, I returned to Dr. Bogin's office where they took x-rays to check the root canal. Dr. Bogin then filled the tooth. He did not notice the root had been perforated. A few weeks later I went back to their office because pain and the feeling of infection returned. This is when Dr. Bogin noticed the perforated root.
I went to a different Endo in hopes of having the botched root canal remedied but they were unable to fix it. I lost the wisdom tooth and the bridge.
I will now have to get an implant, which the second Endo suggested should have been the only solution offered (not a brige). I lost a bridge I paid for about a year ago, and lost the wisdom tooth it was supported by and had months of infection and dizziness. So, I thought it would be reasonable to ask that Dr. Bogin refund the cost of the x-ray and filling the wisdom tooth after he took x-rays and overlooked the failed root canal.
I called their office and requested the cost of that x-ray and filling be returned and the claim be rescinded from my insurance claim. They offered a meeting at their office the next day.
The meeting consisted of Dr. Harvey Bogin making great effort to be the one who was right - citing the waivers I signed before treatment. I clarified I only wanted to be refunded for the x-ray and filling done on the tooth that ended up being pulled. He continued to defend their policy without regard to his error in overlooking the perforated root, so I left. I can understand mistakes but this left me with an infected root for several more weeks until I decided I needed to go back in. The lack of accountability was a clear sign this is not the dental office for my family.

The incompetence of this office is truly astounding. I have seen both Dr. Harvey and Dr. Sarah Bogin for years, getting regular cleanings and checkups and never missing any appointments. I would come in and they would say that everything looks good or fix what wasn't good. Then (this happened to me twice), I'd go to get endo and the endodontist found teeth that are so beyond repair that they had to be pulled. Both Drs. Bogin looked at these teeth multiple times and said that they were fine, completely missing the issues. The opinions that these teeth had to be pulled were confirmed by multiple endodontists and surgeons who could not believe that the dentists completely missed them.
Correction: I just went to another dentist and it turns out that I'm losing a third tooth which has a huge cavity that Drs. Bogin missed despite looking at that tooth multiple times.
Not sure what the point was of paying thousands of dollars for cleanings and checkups was if they missed all of that. Maybe if they were more competent, they could have caught these issues earlier and I would not have lost multiple teeth under their care. My husband has three cavities filled by Dr. Sarah Bogin. When he went to a new dentist (we switched due to my experience), all of those fillings had to be redone because they were done incorrectly.
Save your money and go to a more competent dentist's office.

Dr. Harvey can’t own up to his own mistakes or refund them either. But he will tell you the same LA Dodgers story over and over and over again. Look elsewhere !

Dr Harvey Bogin took care of our family’s dental needs for a very long time. I could always rely on his advice and his work has stood the test of time. Would highly recommend him. Today I also received safe advice from Dr. Sarah Bogin regarding a lower molar.
