My daughter struggles with panic disorder, anxiety, and ADHD. Because of these challenges, her mental health deeply affected areas of self-care, including her oral hygiene. Unfortunately, she had not been to a dentist in nearly five years and had really neglected herself.
When I brought her to see Dr. Swade, from the very first appointment we felt comfortable and safe. Kyla never once felt judged. Dr. Swade spoke to her with kindness, compassion, honesty, and respect. She was very transparent about the condition of Kyla’s teeth and did not sugarcoat things, but she was also incredibly encouraging and reassuring that together they could fix this.
What followed was a long process — 10 appointments and treatment for 20 cavities. Although Kyla was understandably nervous, Dr. Swade and her phenomenal assistant, Mariah, talked her through every single appointment. They explained everything they were doing and were always patient and supportive.
Another thing I appreciated was how upfront and honest they were financially. At the very first appointment they provided a full estimate, and by the final appointment the total was almost exactly to the penny. No hidden fees, no surprise charges, and no pressure. What they said they would do, they did.
We also had to reschedule last minute twice because of anxiety-related issues, and the staff was nothing but gracious, understanding, and kind.
This was, without question, the best dental experience my family has ever had. Everyone in the office genuinely seems to enjoy working together, and that creates such a welcoming atmosphere. The office is clean, comfortable, and easy to access.
Most importantly, when I see my daughter smile now — knowing everything she has been through — I honestly cannot put into words what that means to me.

I had a wonderful experience at this place. Dr. Cristian is incredibly kind, patient, and always smiling. He is amazing with children and truly makes them feel comfortable and safe. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients and loves what he does.
The staff members who work with the doctors are phenomenal — very friendly, professional, and always willing to help. They also speak Spanish, which is a huge plus for our community.
The office is clean, organized, and very welcoming. From the moment you walk in, you feel well taken care of.
I highly recommend this place 100%. An amazing team! 💙✨

Dr Karyn Swade is highly skilled. She corrected some bad dental work I had from another dentist. She was able to save the tooth and the new crown looks and feels great. Highly recommended as a very competent dentist!

Used Groupon for my first cleaning at Smile Obsession Carol Stream and had a really nice experience. Dr. Swade, Mariah, and the whole statt were friendly, professional, and made me feel comfortable. Highly recommend!
