Hands down my favorite place to get dessert in Lisle. I got their chocolate hazelnut cake and it was delicious. My husband isn’t usually a dessert person, and he loved it too. They have a variety of flavors - lemon, Mexican chocolate, pumpkin chocolate etc. Look out for some seasonal treats around the holiday season. They also sell fruit butter, which I’m tempted to try next time. From the decor inside the store, it looked like it is being run by a proud Army mom, and I was more than happy to support the business. Will return for sure!

I can't say enough great things about Poundcake Bakery! My husband has had the key lime poundcake and said it was delicious, I have had the applesauce bread and it was wonderfully moist and flavorful as well. What ultimately led me to this review, however, was a Valentine's Day special. We pre-ordered the Strawberry Cream Pie and picked it up on Valentine's Day weekend. My husband described it as "the best pie I've ever eaten." The strawberries on top were ripened perfectly. We both agreed that part of what made it so delicious was that you could tell it was made with real strawberries and didn't have a fake strawberry taste to it. It was sweet, creamy, had a great graham cracker crust and was just all around fantastic. We really hope it will be offered again, if not all year long then at least at Valentine's Day! Very highly recommend!

I really don't understand all the great reviews here.
A while back, we stopped by, hoping to get some good pound cake and muffins, being that PoundCake Bakery is the name of the place!
But, that was hardly the case. My wife got a piece of lemon-blueberry pound cake which was quite tasteless and hard. (Maybe they really wanted to emphasize, 'Pound Cake').
Meanwhile, I got a blueberry muffin which was partially frozen, apparently from being made prior, and not fresh at all.
As for the coffee, at this point, I wouldn't remember, being that everything else was so bad...........

Apparently I Dared to dislike the baked goods at Poundcake Bakery!
After all, they sell their product by the tens of thousands...
Meanwhile, there were apparently several ways I failed as a customer and should have done things differently...
And BTW, I'm not 'Confused' at all... I'm sure I can remember where I didn't like the food... And, I would be more than happy to provide you with a proof of purchase...
Always nice to know exactly what type of owner you're really dealing with...

The Lemon Blueberry, pumpkin and chocolate hazelnut pound cakes are all delicious! I served them at a family gathering and everyone loved them! Everyone is super nice and helpful! Would definitely recommend and will be getting more pound cakes in the future!

Poundcake Bakery is an absolute gem! Their homemade poundcakes are delicious, especially the lemon blueberry—it's my favorite. The staff is always friendly and provides excellent service. Make sure to come early and often, especially during the holidays, as they get quite busy. I highly recommend it!
