Stratford Dental has been so wonderful! In the 7 months that I’ve been a patient I’ve had two dental cleanings, a few fillings, and I’m in the process of Invisalign. Everyone at the office is so kind, competent, and helpful! I can’t recommend them enough!

I would most definitely recommend Dr Evans and his staff. They were extremely kind, and NO judgement, since it’s been many years since I saw a dentist, due to many medical issues. I was apprehensive, and felt shame, but was reassured. Very friendly staff, starting with the reception desk, I was given a quick appointment to evaluate my tooth ache. Dr Evans is amazing, he’s very nice, personable and comforting too. He referred me to an oral surgeon, but will be back for aftercare and a deep cleaning. Thank you all for such a positive experience! L Cicero

Great dentist and efficient dental hygentists. Has evening hours and appointments are relatively easy to get. I have already referred several neighbors to Dr. Evans. If you need a crown, he makes it while you wait. No second trip back.

The appointment was terrible. The hygienist kept saying something about recession, not explaining anything. Then she hands me a referral to a periodontist. I have been to 4 different dentists in the last 4 years and not one dentist or hygienist said anything about gum recession. Did I have this issue at the last appointment and if so why was I not told about it? How bad is my gum recession

My experience with Stratford Dental was not the most comfortable. While I have been searching for a new dentist since mine retired, I was hopeful based on the many great reviews that this would be the perfect place. I will keep this short as I do not aim to bash any dentist or practice and I realize that each person has unique experiences. I am only sharing my perspective on my experiences to assist others in finding their perfect dentist! - Long wait times: I was there an hour and a half for the cleaning and x-rays. I also was there an hour and forty five minutes for one filling. The filling procedure itself was quick but the amount of time spent sitting there before and after I was numbed took up a lot of time. I would attribute this to being a one person practice and trying to provide service to many people at a time. - Novocaine: I was given two shots of Novocaine before the cavity procedure. I am unsure of the dosage. I was numbed on one side of my mouth from 4:45pm - 10pm when I could finally drink again and keep it from spilling out of my mouth. I have had other procedures done such as root canals, and cavities filled and have never been that numb for that long. For those, it was only one shot of Novocaine, couldn't tell you of the dosage. While making people comfortable is paramount, it was one of the longest recovery times I have experienced, which was frustrating after a long day of work. - Privacy: For me, I did not like that there is an opening where you can see the person sitting next to you getting their procedure done while you wait or are having yours done. It made me uncomfortable. - Beam X-ray: This is an additional x-ray that was not covered by my insurance. I wish I had been more informed about what information this would provide and was given an option for this added test. When I called back and asked the lady at the front desk she said it is standard procedure at their office to have that done. Just be aware it is most likely NOT covered by your insurance and you will pay $170 out of pocket. I had no pain or issues with my jaw, I would have preferred to have forego that at this time and didn't feel I was given the option to do so. - Cleanliness: This is probably personal preference but I do like when I go to a dentist and the tools are sterilized and still in the plastic versus just sitting out. - Invisalign: This office will push Invisalign hard. While I did find it interesting to see how off my teeth were. I have never had that service pushed so much at any other dental office. In comparison, I received a second opinion and the cavity he filled was structurally sound and good. One of the two other cavities he recommended to have done was also recommended to have done by the other dentist. The third was told to me to be very small and I am opting to wait on filling it and keeping an eye on it. The Beam x-ray at the other location is not standard procedure and they only send a person to a specialist for that IF they are having jaw pain and other issues. I am happy with this other place that I went to for the second opinion and will be continuing on with them in the future. All in all I think Dr. Evans is a good person and doing his best but his practice was just not for me for the above stated reasons.
